Happy New Year, Everyone! 🎉

Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy. As we step into this new year, I wish you nothing but good things—progress, happiness, and lots of memorable moments.

I also wanted to share something that has been a game-changer for my training recently: Strava. Many of you might already be familiar with it, but I only started using it recently, and it’s been incredibly helpful!

Strava doesn’t just track GPS—it also provides detailed data like your pace, heart rate, and splits. While your smartphone can offer similar insights, I’ve found Strava to be much more precise. It has helped me track my progress, identify patterns, and even make educated guesses about the reasons behind off-days.

For example, if I have a slower run and feel tired, I can look back at my heart rate spikes and see if factors like a late night affected my performance. This level of detail has been so valuable in my training and staying consistent.

Currently, I’m using an Apple Watch for tracking, but I’m considering switching to either a Garmin or Coros. If you have experience with either, I’d love to hear your recommendations!

Oh, and one more thing I love about Strava—it keeps a history of your training data, which you can analyze or even export. Plus, for those concerned about privacy, you can set your account to "only me" mode, so your data stays private.

If you haven’t tried Strava yet, I highly recommend giving it a go.

Wishing you all an amazing year filled with health, strength, and exciting adventures! ✨

Hello everyone,

Welcome to my third blog! Today, I want to share something a little different—my thoughts on the mental aspects of preparation for the race.

I’ll be honest: when I started this journey, I believed I had plenty of time and that things would go smoothly. But this week has been a wake-up call. I’ve encountered unexpected challenges—not physical ones, but more mental. My resilience and mental toughness, which I thought were solid, have been tested in ways I didn’t anticipate.

During one of my training sessions, I hit what people often refer to as “the wall.” I felt like I wasn’t strong enough to push forward. That moment was humbling and eye-opening. It made me realize that mental preparation is just as crucial as physical training. And, perhaps, I’m not alone in facing this. Many of us might encounter similar struggles, so I thought it was worth sharing and starting a conversation about it.

Since then, I’ve been trying to reflect on my mindset, analyze my challenges, and find ways to motivate myself. It’s a process, and I’m hopeful I’ll find my rhythm again soon.

If you’ve faced similar experiences or have strategies for building mental resilience, I’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s mindfulness techniques, motivational hacks, or just lessons from your own journey, feel free to drop them in the comments - I'd truly appreciate it!.

Until next time, stay strong and stay inspired. 😊

Hello everyone! 🌍

I hope you're enjoying the autumn or spring, depending on where you are. I'm excited to share my second blog post with you all!

As the weather gets colder here in Mongolia, I've been focusing on indoor training, particularly improving my running skills. Running has always been a challenge for me, so it's going to be my main focus for a while. Additionally, I'm planning to get accustomed to carrying heavy backpacks soon, as that's another area I need to work on.

If you have any tips or advice, please share them with me! Good luck to everyone with your training, and stay motivated and safe! 💪😊

Hello Mary, I am sorry for replying to you with a delay! You’re absolutely right—it gets super cold here 😅. As for running in the snow to be honest, I’m a little afraid of running outside in these conditions. So for now, I’m mainly sticking to indoor training at the gym to build endurance and stay consistent. Regarding trail running gear, there aren’t many large outdoor stores here, but there are a few local sellers and individuals who focus on trail running gear. I’m planning to get some clothes and shoes from them since they usually stock great options. For watches, though, I’ll likely need to order one from another country. I’m really looking forward to meeting you too! and thank you again for your kind support. 😊

Hi Tsatsralt, thanks for the update to your blog. I know it gets super cold in Ulaanbaatar in winter. Do you plan to do any training in the snow? It seems like running in the snow would be great training for the Gobi March. I was also curious if there are any outdoors stores in Ulaanbaatar that have the latest trail running clothing and gear? I can't wait to meet you. Best regards, Mary

Hello everyone! This is my first blog post, and I wanted to say hello to everyone and introduce myself. I'm Tsatska from Mongolia, and I’ll be taking part in the Gobi March 2025. I am super excited to join this incredible adventure and meet amazing people along the way!

I first learned about the race through Eva zu Beck’s vlog, and I was amazed to discover that it’s happening right here in Mongolia. It feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the idea of being part of this race felt like the perfect challenge and an unforgettable journey.

I’ll be posting over the next few months. If you have any questions about Mongolia or Ulaanbaatar, feel free to ask, I’d be happy to share what I know!

Hello YX Zhang, I’m sorry for getting back to you late. It’s great to hear that you discovered this through Eva’s vlog—it’s such a small world! As for preparing for the Gobi March, I’ve been focusing on building my endurance through regular gym runs and outdoor training sessions whenever possible. I’ve also started incorporating yoga and Pilates into my routine to improve flexibility and prevent injuries. Nutrition and rest are equally important, so I’m paying close attention to those as well. How about you?
