MARATHON, GREECE

Fly into Athens International Airport (ATH)

The host town is Nea Makri, Marathon. This is 30 minutes from Athens Airport.

Volunteers arrive (any time)

Friday, 26 September

Competitors arrive (any time) - hotel accommodation is provided at the Marathon Beach Resort based on two (or three) people sharing a room.

Volunteer training (all day)

Saturday, 27 September

Competitor Briefing

Competitor Check-In, including administrative, medical and equipment review.

Travel to Camp by race buses.

Sunday, 28 September

08:00: Stage 1 / From Sea to Summit

Monday, 29 September

08:00: Stage 2 / In the Footsteps of the Spartans

Tuesday, 30 September

08:00: Stage 3 / The Heart of Greece

Wednesday, 1 October

08:00: Stage 4 / Along the Train Tracks

Thursday, 2 October

08:00: Stage 5 - The Long March / Caves and Temples

Friday, 3 October

Stage 5 - The Long March / Caves and Temples (continued) / Rest Day

Saturday, 4 October

10:00: Stage 6 / Amazing Island

12:00 (noon): Finish

Travel back to Marathon

Awards Presentation

Competitors & Volunteers stay overnight at the Event Hotel

Race activities have concluded and you are ready to depart or continue your travels in Greece.
