Women’s Contenders for the 4 Deserts Championship

With the 10th Edition of The Last Desert in Antarctica just a month away, we are tallying scores to see who's in the running to be named the 4 Deserts Champion. In order to qualify, you need to have completed three of the 4 Deserts which includes the Sahara / Namib Race, the Gobi March and the Atacama Crossing. Each person is awarded points based on their placement in each race. The individual with the lowest numbers of points at the conclusion of The Last Desert will be awarded the storied title of 4 Deserts Champion. In the running for women are:

Vicki Connelly (United Kingdom): 7 Points
Mika Kume (Japan): 27 Points
Dora Chan (Hong Kong): 41 Points
Helen Tan (Malaysia): 45 Points
Fer Mutuc (Philippines): 53 Points
Kristina Huffman (United States): 73 Points

So far, it seems that Vicky Connelly and Mika Kume are the closest with 7 and 27 points, respectively. Anything can happen in Antarctica....

We congratulate past women champions including Anim Swart, Isabelle Sauve, Jax Mustafa, Isis Breiter, Anne-Marie Flammersfeld, Mirjana Pellizzer, Laura Corti and Lisanne Dorion.
