That's a wrap for The Last Desert 2024.

The racing concluded after five Stages with the final Stage on Deception Island on 3 December. They travelled back across a calm Drake Passage and had the final celebration dinner and Awards Presentation in the Beagle Passage as they approached Ushuaia.

2nd - Inia Raumati - NZL - 203km

3rd - Rob James - WAL - 200.8km

WOMEN

1st - Yasmin Stoderegger - AUT - 243km - 2nd Overall

2nd - Maigua Ojeda Perez - ESP - 208.6km - 3rd Overall

3rd - Victoria Connelly - GBR - 197.8 - 7th Overall

Spirit Award - Mike Gawron Junior - the youngest and most positive, excited and enthusiastic person on the ship.

Sportsmanship Award - Sandeep Singla - always helpful and supportive to others despite many things going on in his own life, including having donated part of his liver to one of his children.
